Julia Fleisig

Originally from Birmingham, AL, Julia is currently attending the University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts with a major in Animation & Digital Arts and a minor in Screenwriting. Julia is pursuing a career in directing and writing for animation.

Julia has a 3.9 GPA, is on the Dean’s List, and has received multiple awards and accolades for her films Halbo's Hat, Treasure, and AniMATES (watch them under "Animation & Film"). In her second year at USC, Julia also served as President of The InBetweens – the Animation Undergraduate Student Government which served as a link between USC students, faculty, alumni, and industry professionals. Most recently, she was a Development Intern at Illumination Entertainment (Despicable Me, Sing, The Secret Life of Pets) and was selected as an Academy Gold Intern for The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Science's exclusive Talent Development and Inclusion Program.

When she’s not working on a creative project, she spends most of her time watching reruns of I Love Lucy, talking on the phone with her sister, or debating the best flavor of Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream (it's Phish Food, in case you were wondering)!
